Hide Completed SAP Solution Manager Projects  Print

Learn how to make an easy setting that hides completed SAP Solution Manager projects, which can make it easier for project teams searching for a particular project.

In the course of a year, most companies have multiple projects occurring in parallel. This can make it difficult for project and support teams to distinguish among all these projects. Jumping from one project to the next and keeping up with work can be hard enough without having to search through a list of both complete and incomplete projects to find the specific projects these teams are currently supporting. These groups often ask, “After projects are completed, what should be done with them?” I’ll show you how to make it simpler for your project teams by cutting the completed projects out of the equation.

You can hide completed projects in transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN (Project Administration) with a quick and easy setting change. This reduces the time that project teams spend searching for particular projects in transactions SOLAR01 (Business Blueprint) and SOLAR02 (Configuration). Depending on the phase of the project, one of these two transactions is used to access the project. Follow the steps I provide to hide completed projects and ease your project teams’ potential confusion.
