Configuring digital signatures is a one-time activity — once you have the basic building blocks in place, the ongoing maintenance is simple. However, you must proceed with caution when you set up and configure digital signatures to avoid the potential of setting up an incorrect approval process ? or worse, system errors. In my previous article on digital signatures, “Configure Digital Signatures in SAP Solution Manager,” I outlined the basic customizing activities in the IMG required for digital signatures. In this article I take the process one step further and show you how to create master data for document statuses. The values you enter become options available to you when you create and change document statuses.
